SWMC announces first winner in Bin Palooza

One lucky person won a free garbage bin rental from the Solid Waste Management Corporation this Christmas season, after successfully participating in the corporation’s Bin Palooza on social media. To participate in this competition, the SWMC would publish some photos on its Facebook page and encourage persons to name the SWMC initiative depicted in the pictures.

They must like the post, tag at least 10 friends, follow Solid Waste Management Corporation St Kitts on Facebook and share the post on their page. On Tuesday, Namayombo Mgonela, Marketing Coordinator at the SWMC, announced the winner on the corporation’s radio program Talking Trash. “Her Facebook profile name is Sister Fel. I am led to believe that her name is Felicia Samuel of St. Johnson’s Avenue,” Ms. Mgonela announced. Ms. Samuel received a gift certificate from the SWMC for the free bin. “We have more prizes for you guys so stay tuned,” she added.

Meanwhile, Ms. Mgonela encouraged persons to follow the corporation’s social media sites. “Our Facebook profile is SWMC-St. Kitts, our Facebook page is Solid Waste Management Corporation St. Kitts, Instagram SWMC St. Kitts and of course our hashtag is waste matters,” the SWMC official said.
